To our valued clients and friends of the firm:
Amid the rapid progression of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the disruptions it has caused, Tighe, Kress & Orr, PC remains committed to providing highly responsive and exemplary service to our clients. In addition, safeguarding the health of our clients, our people, and the communities where we live and work is of equal importance. Therefore, to support community health, the majority of our accountants and staff are now working remotely and will remain doing so until April 6th, at which time we will reassess the situation. During this time, we will strive to make sure that there is minimal disruption in our handling of all accounting, tax and attest matters. We have protocols in place to ensure the security of confidential documents and emails. It is our intention to file all tax returns by the April 15th deadline if your information is received by the firm before the end of March. We encourage each client to provide information as soon as possible as it is hard to know if the FedEx, UPS, US Mail or office closures will become more restrictive.
Our offices are open at this time from 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday and Saturday morning from 9am until noon. We are only allowing for clients to drop off information or to pick up information/tax returns at this time. This could change as directives or the situation changes. While we remain open, we are proceeding in a responsible way.
We will actively follow the guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state/local governmental agencies to revise plans and make decisions accordingly.
As always, the health, safety and well-being of our clients, our colleagues and our communities are of paramount concern. We continue to monitor this quickly evolving situation and are here to assist as needed.
