Keith is a founding shareholder of the firm, and is the Principal in charge of the accounting & tax department and the business development of the firm. His area of concentration is helping his client base develop a strong accounting foundation and a solid tax planning strategy.

Prior to establishing Tighe, Kress & Orr, P.C., Keith was with the American Express Tax and Business Services and a Fortune 50 business in the Chicagoland area. Keith believes a strong accounting/tax practice is one that gets to know its clients on an individual basis and helps them maximize their finance potential by implementing good planning and continual communication.

Keith’s accomplishments include helping his clients’ structure new tax entities to reduce liability and reduce taxes. He has handled complex compliance and consulting areas of work to include: C Corporation, S Corporation, partnerships, non-for-profit, trust, estate and individual type returns. He has in-depth experience with QuickBooks, Peachtree and Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management and Microsoft excel. Keith strongly believes in connecting businesses with other businesses in mutually beneficial relationships. In helping businesses connect he has helped many of his clients in gaining new customers and in substantially reducing overall expenses.

Keith has helped many not-for-profits develop a strong financial base and meet all other reporting requirements while being cognizant of their strict financial budgets.

Keith is involved in varying organizations geared toward helping the community. He assists with the Boys and Girls Club in fundraising and is on the advisory board to help set the accounting curriculum for Elgin Community College. Keith is also on the advisory board for a local bank.

Away from the office, Keith enjoys sports, golfing and spending time with his family. He resides in St. Charles with his wife Jennifer, their sons, Westly, Matthew and Colin, and their pet potbelly pig Stella.
